What are the property policies?

  • 2-night minimum stay.

  • Cancellation policy varies, but closer to your stay it may not be refundable because we may not be able to secure a replacement booking in time. See the booking pages for additional details.

  • We love kids but don’t allow children between 9 months and 7 years old because we know what our kids were like when they were younger :)

  • We also have dogs (too many!), and we know what so many of them get up to! Accordingly, other than registered service animals, we don’t allow pets - sorry.

  • Out of consideration for our neighbors we have a no-parties policy, thank you for your understanding

  • No commercial-use photography without separate prior consent. Photography for use on social media, not promoting another product, is very much welcomed.

  • Check-out time 11 am on the day of departure. Late check-out is subject to availability on special request. Very late checkouts may incur an additional cost.

  • Self-check-in any time after 2 pm on your arrival day, with electronic lock access and your own unique code. Earlier check-in is subject to availability on special request.

  • When kitchen bins are full, we would appreciate you placing your rubbish in the larger bins behind the property.

  • If you’re having trouble with something, or need help, get in touch using email, phone or WhatsApp details provided with your booking confirmation. We will try to help you over the phone, and can normally attend in person if needed. Please read the small Manly House guide first as it may answer your questions.

What is included in my booking cost?

  • For short-term stays, we include cleaning at the end of your stay, and every 3-4 days unless you request otherwise. This includes a linen changeover. In the event of damage or excessive mess, additional costs may apply. Longer term (eg: Executive Leasing) we include one property clean per week.

  • Linen, and towels for use within the property. We don’t provide beach towels but you’re welcome to bring your own.

  • Starter supply of coffee beans, tea, sugar, salt, oil & plant-based milk

  • A seasonal gourmet welcome pack at the start of your stay (short-term stays).

What amenities are provided?

  • Full access to the entire house, except for storage areas and equipment rooms.

  • 3 bedrooms with queen beds, two with balconies and ensuites.

  • 3 bathrooms, one with Stargazing outdoor bath.

  • Fully equipped kitchen with induction cooktop, VZUG oven, fridge/freezer, Dishwasher, Microwave, Toaster, Espresso machine, and Zip tap with sparkling, boiling, and chilled water

  • Concealed laundry with washer & dryer, small external clothesline, iron, and ironing board.

  • Lounge/Dining room with comfortable lounge, dining table, breakfast bar

  • Hanging ethanol fueled fireplace in Living Area

  • Garden with BBQ, outdoor dining area, integrated sun lounger bed/seating, outdoor shower

  • Front porch with hanging love-seat and small garden

  • Home office desk area

  • High-speed Wifi

  • Netflix and some other streaming services and terrestrial TV are accessed via Samsung The Frame TV

  • Integrated Stereo, controlled via Google Home (voice commands)

  • Air conditioning + fans

  • Japanese Cedar Spa / Hot-Tub (from July 2023)

  • Electronic safe, electronic keyless access & security system

HOW DO I CHECK IN AND ACCESS THE PROPERTY

  • After your booking, generally, a few days before your stay, you will get an email with access information. This will include a code for the electronic lock on the front door, which will work for your entire stay. We don’t issue physical keys because they’re too easy to lose. Feel free to share that access code with all members of your party. The property address is 1 Steinton St, Manly NSW 2095.

  • Locking the property when you go out is a simple matter of pressing the lock button on the front-door electronic lock. Please also ensure the other doors and windows are closed and locked before you leave.

What ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES WHEN CHECKING-OUT

  • Please leave on or before your agreed check-out time, so we have time to ensure the property is ready for the next visitor. If you need an extension, please get in touch. We can’t guarantee it but we may be able to accommodate such requests.

  • Please leave The Manly House as tidy as you can. If you can ensure dishes, etc are washed and rubbish put in the outdoor bins, we would be very grateful.

  • Close and lock (where possible) all windows and doors. Message us if you’re having any trouble locking, as we will know to attend to this after you leave.

Who can I contact if I need help?

We want you to enjoy your stay, and invite you to get in touch if you have any questions or need assistance. Your booking confirmation will contain email, phone, and WhatsApp details. Depending on availability and your arrival time, we may be able to meet you to show you through the property and explain how things work.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE?

The Manly House does not have on-site parking, however, on-street parking nearby is generally available. There is a parking station, 6 minutes walk away, should you prefer. With so much to do nearby and such excellent public transport, you may not need a car at all when staying at The Manly House.

Do we offer longer term rentals?

Yes we do offer executive leasing with stays of 2 weeks or more, subject to availability. See this page for more information.

Wheelchair accessibility

The property is 2 stories with a staircase to the second level. The ground floor is level with a bedroom and is also where the main living, dining, and kitchen are located. There are a number of small steps to get from the street to the house, which you can see in the photo of the front of the house on the main page of this site.

Getting to The Manly House

Manly has excellent public transport, with ferries from the city, buses, and easy access by car. Uber, taxis and other ride-sharing services are freely available in the area. The property is an 8 minute walk from Manly Ferry terminal. Access to the house is by a code in the electronic door lock, no need for keys. You will get your code prior to arrival after booking.
